Objective: Students will be able to determine a central idea of a text and analyze its development over the course of the text. 1. Do Now - (5 minutes) Students will respond to the prompt posted in Google classroom (assignment titled Do Now: October 2nd) and "turn in" the response. UPDATED: I have reviewed handfuls of submissions and found that many students weren't answering both questions or have only written a sentence or two. Please unsubmit and add to your response and then "turn in." Then, students will check out assignments/activities outlined on:

2 articles passed with 75% or above = 4 points, 1 article passed with 75% or above, 1 article failed = 3 points, 2 articles read, but NOT passed with 75% or above = 2 points. 1 article read, but NOT passed with 75% or above = 1 point. (You do NOT have to show me the score, I will look at the report later). 2. If you finish early, try the Stream to Start video again (if it wasn't working previously) and answer the Stream to Start Video questions in Google classroom. 3. If you finish super early, go on to MobyMax (remaining time to be spent on Reading Skills Informational or Vocabulary). Collaborative station:
