Objective:
Students will be able to write a monologue, with an authentic voice, based on one of the topics provided. Do Now: Students will work independently to answer a prompt projected on the board (minimum of 5 complete sentences). Whole Class: I'll take a few moments to remind students of the following:
Independent: -Assignment 1: Students will go to Google Classroom and open up the Google doc "Cornell Notes Guidelines: Monologue Resource" listed under "Independent Station Assignment for Tuesday, 10/2"
-Assignment 2:
Collaborative: I will break students into groups and give them a script. They will have to assign roles, annotate the script, block movement, and perform the script at the end of class. Students will also do several "pair and share"s throughout the period to summarize what they've learned and ask clarifying questions of their partner. Lastly, students will engage in some improv games as a way to bolster confidence in performing. Exit Tickets: Fill out and submit the Google Form (<- click there). |
