Objective:
Students will be able to write a monologue, with an authentic voice, based on one of the topics provided. Students will also be able to block a scene of dialogue. Do Now: Students will work independently to answer a prompt projected on the board (minimum of 5 complete sentences). Whole Class: I'll take a few moments to remind students of the following:
Independent: -Assignment 1: In Google Classroom, open up the Google doc "Understanding Stage Directions" listed under "Understanding Stage Directions" in Resources.
Fill out a Self-Evaluation of "Write Your Own Monologue 2" (listed under "Independent Station Assignment for Tuesday, 10/2") Collaborative: -Assignment 1: (if you didn't finish last class) Students will go to Google Classroom and open up the Google doc "How to Direct (block) your Acting scene" listed under "Collaborative Station Assignment for Thursday, 10/4"
-Assignment 2: Students will complete the handout "How to Pre-Block a Scene"
With your elbow partner, provide stage directions (write them in shorthand) for the scene "Breaking the Code"
