Students will be able to memorize their monologue/dialogue through the use of memorization techniques and practices and block their scene for performance. Do Now: Pop quiz! Whole Class: I'll take a few moments to remind students of the following:
Independent: -Assignment 1:
-Assignment (if you didn't finish): Read through the paper copy of your monologue or dialogue and add beats (where your character would pause) and accents on words where your character would add emphasis. -Assignment (if you didn't finish): Using the tips on this site, start/continue with memorizing your lines. Memorization due Monday, 12/3.
Collaborative: -Assignment 1: Students will engage in audition process to determine parts for the Winter Talent Show (one last time). -Assignment 2: Students will engage in several acting exercises aimed at developing believable characters.
