Objective:
Students will be able to analyze the character in the monologue through the use of professional character analysis methods. Do Now: Students will work independently to answer a prompt projected on the board (minimum of 5 complete sentences). Whole Class: I'll take a few moments to remind students of the following:
Independent: -Assignment 1 (if you didn't finish): Go to Google Classroom and open up"Monologue Character Analysis (for Your Monologue 2)" and complete the questions.
-Assignment 2: Start to memorize your monologue.
-Assignment 3: (if you finish early) Review the following Quizlet for basic Theater acting terms. Collaborative: Part 1: Students will engage in several acting exercises aimed at developing believable characters. Part 2: Students will practice acting out their monologue out loud, to an elbow partner. Whole Class: Students will continue to write the lines for their sketch comedy with their partner.
