Objective: Students will be able to perform a mime scene, without talking, to convey a story that has a beginning, middle, and end, and a conflict, in one minute. Do Now: Students will work independently to answer a prompt projected on the board (minimum of 5 complete sentences). Whole Class: I'll hand out the mime rubric to students so they can review it before they perform their scenes and I'll answer any questions they may have. Then, I'll take volunteers to start the mime scenes. After everyone is finished, I'll introduce our next Unit: Acting. I'll show them a quick Youtube video of an acting compilation. Then, I'll direct students to a new assignment in Google classroom, which they'll need to take Cornell notes on. The text covers acting fundamentals.
