Objective: Students will write arguments to support claims, using valid reasoning and relevant and sufficient evidence. Do Now: Students will work independently to answer a prompt projected on the board (minimum of 5 complete sentences). Whole Class: Those presenting their persuasive speeches today will present in front of the class. Students will review the resources available to them in Google Classroom to review for the Voice & Diction quiz. Independent: Students will take notes on each speaker (they will list the topic and record at least one argumentative claim for each speaker). Students will review the resources in Google classroom and study for the Voice and Diction quiz.
